How much does your chicks cost at the feed store or TSC

I guess the jokes on me......... Bought 2 standard turkens straight run for $3.49 a piece , 2 white silkies for $3.79 a piece , and 8 auracanas for $3.49 ( they were labeled $7.99 a piece , but I didn't notice it until we were 20 miles away at home . I'm usually the one to go back in and tell the cashier that they made a mistake , but I worked for this company 12 yrs ago , and they mark everything up 60-90% . I think they can afford it . The store is Murdochs formerly known as "Ranch and Home" .

) They are charging $2.29 for meaties !!!!!! Last year it was .99 cents ! They must have figured out that meaties mean alot more ........ no other breeds have gone up since last year .

I bought my peepers last week from a feed store near Memphis, TN.

I don't remember the individual costs per peeper, but the total cost of my 2 buff orpington pullets, 2 barred rock pullets, and 2 Amauracana (Easter Egger) pullets was $14 after tax was added in (9 3/4% here in Tennessee).

The local feed store gets their order in the morning and they are gone by closing. They only order pullets 100 at a time, usually one breed at a time. If you want a roo or a breed they don't have they will order it for you when they place the next order. So far the price has been $2.50 for every breed they have had.

I paid 4.29 per chick for pullets at are local Agway. In NY there is also a 6 bird minimum for some reason. Anybody else have that in their state? Not that I mind though.
