How much feed? How to put weight on my flock?

supposedly 1/4 to 1/3 LB a chicken.. different feeds weigh different so a cup may or may not be a lb
I was feeding 150lb (before fermenting) a week to about 60 chickens of various ages and 7 turkeys this summer. Some free range time , due to predators.
Out of curiosity, after fermenting what did your total feed weight/week turn in to?

Edit-IGNORE question was already asked.

I didn't word that right.. I ferment 150lb...
not sure what I am going through since I processed 6 chickens and a turkey this week or so.. but the chicken nuggets keep growing and 12 eggs under a broody .. 8 cockerels to process in the next week or 2...so it will be about the same... 2 or 3 turkeys to go in a month LOL
So I've tried fermenting feed but I'm just not getting it. So I was adviced to do it in little jars, I used medium sized pickle jars, well every time I'd open the jar the food would explode out. What am I doing wrong?
I want to ferment so bad but I just can't figure it out. Please help!!!

Mary, ferment in a closed glass jar, and you run the very real risk of that jar literally exploding! Open container, perhaps with a loosely fitting lid, just set on top. Only fill that container 1/2 way to start. Even after the feed has soaked up all of the water, it's still going to swell up more, much the same as a yeast bread dough will swell.

Does anyone have any fertilized eggs to sell if so what kind of chickens layed them. I would like to have New Hampshire,s they are good laying hens . All of mine lays an egg almost every day.
