How much food is needed daily for a duck?

I am not concerned about them getting enough for I am more concerned that they are eating to much. Will ducks over eat?

Mine dont

I feed mine wet feed, so its already swelled up. I dont know if they could eat to much dry food and have it swell too big in the gizzard

Some ducks will overeat, some don't. Watching their body condition is probably the easiest thing to do. Do they let you pick them up? That's how I check my Runners.

I got most of my ducks as adults. They all follow me into the pen at night and some will eat out of my hand but I don't think any would enjoy being picked up.

Ha, most ducks arent really fond of being picked up. And having more ducks only makes it harder to tame each one

I feel that occasionally picking one up might be a fine way to monitor their body condition.

I think that casportpony published a thread or a graphic on waterfowl body condition a while back....
