So I went to my local box store to get some hardware clothe for my home made compost shifter. I spent a little more then ten bucks for this tiny roll! Now when i make my run i want it to be big and secured since we will have lots of wildlife around but this stuff is soooo expensive! Is there anyother stores that might sell it in bulk cheaper TSC maybe? If not does anyone have pics of how they used this stuff economically?

I found the best deal on hardware cloth online..... for 25' of 19 gauge 36" wide hardware cloth at home depot/Lowes was $48.35 I paid around $127 (don't remember the change) for a 100' of 19 gauge 36" wide hardware cloth....that $127 INCLUDES shipping and handling!!!! I got it at www.wireclothman.com Good luck.

I bought my hardware cloth at Big R, which I think is the west coast equivalent of TSC. It was $23 for a 2' x 50' roll with 1/2 mesh. The same stuff was over twice the price at the big box stores.

Wow!! Just went to the wireclothman.com website posted in an earlier reply and its now $270 for the same roll they had purchased for $120ish??

I got mine at my local "DO-IT-BEST" hardware store (kind of like ACE). It was about the same price as TSC or Southern States, and cheaper than the Big Box Stores. I only needed a small roll, so I couldnt justify ordering online and paying for shipping.

I think that roll is a different gauge....scroll down further on the same page and you should find the roll I ordered....I think the 270 is for 16 gauge wire....
