How much TOTAL chick feed will i need for 4 chicks?

What are you feeding your other chickens? If it's an all flock feed such as Flock Raiser, there is no need to buy chick feed at all. The formula is practically identical.

If you are feeding layer, that's another story. Your pullets won't be ready for layer for six months on average, until they begin to lay. So you will need either an all flock feed or chick crumbles until that point.

Usually, a ten pound bag of chick starter will take four chicks to around three months.

Welcome! There's a trade-off between the lower cost per pound of feed in the big bags, and the need to have feed be as fresh as possible. Some vitamins degrade over time (weeks) and older feed can also become rancid or buggy.
Always check the 'mill date' on each bag of feed; it should be within about four weeks, and used up within another three weeks or so.
For four chicks (what breeds?), if you figure about three pounds of feed per pound of weight gain, and the birds will grow to six pounds each, that's about 75 pounds of feed. BUT they will take about six months to reach that size, and you shouldn't have feed around that long.
Maybe a smaller bag of medicated chick starter, if you are using that. Then an all-flock feed like Purina Flock Raiser, which is what I feed forever, again probably not the fifty pound bags. You will get a feeling for how long a bag lasts, stored in a metal garbage can, and go forward from there.
