How often should I change up the worming meds

Hello!

My flock had round worm back in early April and I wormed them with safeguard. Well, it’s been very hot and wet this summer and I found a pile of cecal poop with round worms in it. So clearly, it’s time to worm again. My question is, should I still use safeguard or something else? I know you’re supposed to change it up every once in a while, but I don’t know how often.

Well, I tried to get ivermectin from tractor supply and they said they’ve sold so much in the past week that they can’t even order it anymore. I have the safeguard on hand, will it still work if I use it again?

I would continue with the safeguard. Ivermectin is controversial in its effectiveness for worming these days.
