How old was your hen when she laid her 1st egg?

Happy to help!

It was your idea though to compile the numbers though!

Breed of hen- Golden brahma

Age in weeks when she laid - 22 weeks

If you have more than one of that breed, did they all start laying around the same time?- Don't know, only one verified.

Color of egg - Light brown

Size of egg - small and roundish

Mrs. Betty Buffington
E.E.
9 months old
Large to extra large green eggs
In her first week of lay she is the most productive of the flock!
Well worth the wait I'll say.
WAY TO GO MRS.BUFF!

Been meaning to update this for you ....

Speckled Sussex
FINALLY laid at 36 weeks.
Tan-colored egg, medium to large
Then she quit three weeks later for the winter.
Argh.

Will let you know when my Barnevelder decides to start laying. It's been 35 weeks and nothing ....

Thank you, everyone!

The speckled sussex is a great addition......

That's actually why this may never be a sticky, because I can not seem to get every breed on here. I'm missing so many. Also, there are so many variations, I now realize. But this is fun to compile, nonetheless!
