How old was your hen when she laid her 1st egg?

Sixteen weeks to the day for 2 of them. One BR, one BSL.
The new group is now 16 wks and one of them started to lay today but I don't know who it is yet.

18 weeks and 4 days an no eggs that i can find.....mine free range all day, i keep looking everywhere.

i have:

1 light brahma
2 black giants
1 barred rock
3 EE

Of my 7 Barred Rock's - one was laying at 18 wks, one 18.5 wks, one 20 wks, two @ 21 wks. The other 2 not yet laying at 21 wks.

The size is varying, so far, only as big as medium, it's been a few weeks. I'm thinking they will get bigger. Light brown eggs (some almost beige).

Breed of hen- EE

Age in weeks when she laid- 19 weeks, have 3 hens and 3 eggs over 6 days, not sure who is laying

If you have more than one of that breed, did they all start laying around the same time?- all EE

Color of egg- olive, gray olive and pale grass green

Size of egg- very small

I sure hope the eggs get bigger! I thought these would be large eggs, maybe as the hens get older?

One of our hens laid their first egg this morning, there was only one egg, took 16 weeks, Rhode Island reds, 12 of them, the egg was sitting up on a shelf not in the nester, will they figure out where to lay thier eggs, or is it wherever they want??? The egg was light brown, and my wife and I were so excited to show it to the kids, I handed it over to her, and well, it dropped and broke, I was so dissappointed. Anyway, we are excited for more soon.

Breed: Barred Rock (I think)

Age: 24 weeks old

Since I am only getting one egg a day and they are all the same size, color and shape--I think only one of my girls are laying. I have BR, RIR, BO, Ameraucanas and EE. They are 25 weeks old --the EE are 21 weeks old.

Egg color: a med brown--lighter than store bought eggs

Size: Much smaller than store eggs---almost 2" long (marked with a pencil on each end and measured )
4" dia


ETA: The egg was from Eunice one of my Barred Rocks..I caught her in the act today...

My cochins are 29 weeks and have not yet laid. My Silkie is 33 weeks and has not yet laid. I have them on dumor crumble layer, scrath grains mixed with oyster shell and grit. And NOTHING!!!!!!

My cochins are in my garage with a fan on them. And they are bantams. What else should I do.
