First of all, 6 months sounds very old till I translate to weeks, which is only 24. So hens at 24 weeks are probably getting around to thinking about it soon. My RIR and rocks and orpingtons all seemed to take their sweet ol' time. Be patient, 24 weeks isn't bad.
Was she your neighbor? Is that how you know their age?
Keep in mind that you don't know how well they've been cared for all this time. You can only do your best, and hope they do well. And don't forget that the shock of moving can stress a hen out of laying, so if they were close, it may take a while.
But definitely give them time.
