How old was your hen when she laid her 1st egg?

The chicken I thought was a BA is actually a black minorca. Had no idea until I got a white egg today and started trying to figure out who laid it.

Here is her info:

Black Minorca (named Sydney because I thought she was a BA, I guess she should be a Spanish name)

Age: 29.5 weeks

She's my only Minorca, and I just found out today!

Egg color: White

Size, small

I am soooo EGG-cited!!! I FINALLY got my very first egg today!!! My Production reds are now 29 1/2 weeks old (hatched May 20th!).. When they were about a month old, my two roos were fine but all three girls got chilled and it caused them to get sick, they were otherwise healthy.. But being a new chicken mommy and taking the advice of the guy we got them from when he said they would be fine without a brooder, well, I definitely learned my lesson the hard way!! I think that may have been a factor to why they so late in laying.. Also, right at the age they should have been laying, they went through a hard molt.. But, it was worth it when I went out this afternoon and found a beautiful light brown egg in the nest box!!!

Tomorrow is my birthday.. What a wonderful gift!!!!

WOW!!! My son went back outside after I showed him the egg and sure enough, there was another one.. I'm thinking it was a different girl that laid this one because the two eggs are slightly different shades of brown.. But, I could be wrong.. I don't care.. I have eggs!! YAY!!

Wow, they look big in your hand, but compared to those jumbo eggs, they look hummingbirdish!

Okay, I am going crazy...(alright, alright, so it didn't take much).
One of our hens laid a lavender egg. Everyone here agrees, yes it is lavender (followed by " that's really cool").
Which of; 2 welsummers (I know it's not them) 3 comets (not them either I am sure, well kind of) 3 buff brahma bantams(not likely, its too big..I think), I cuckoo maran ( that can't be possible can it? Or can it?), 1 blue wyandotte and 1 austrolorpe could be laying it? I have never seen an egg that color. All our hens a very young and only 2 ( a welsummer and a comet) have been laying to date, with the exception of this egg.

Breed of hen-

Age in weeks when she laid-

If you have more than one of that breed, did they all start laying around the same time?-

Color of egg-

Size of egg-

Breed: Barred Plymouth Rock

Age in Weeks: 20 weeks

Others: GLW, SLW no eggs freeloaders so far

Color of egg: Brownish pink

Size : Really small but she has only layed 3 eggs and they are progressively larger so far.

Breed of hen: Delaware (hatchery stock)

Age in weeks when she laid: 28 weeks (finally!!!!)

If you have more than one of that breed, did they all start laying around the same time?: No, the other three laid at 24 weeks (Buff Orpington) and 26 weeks (Light Brahma and EE).

Color of egg: Brown

Size of egg: I used a tape measure circling the egg vertically - 6.25 inches. Considering that it was her first egg, it was pretty big. Her first egg is as big as the Orpington and Brahma after laying a few weeks already.

Now that all my hens are laying....finally....here is the breakdown:

Breed of hen: GLW

Age in weeks when she laid: 22

Color of egg: Brown

Size of egg: medium to large......after 5 months of laying it is now about the size if a standard large egg

Breed of hen: Dominique

Age in weeks when she laid: Unsure about 28 weeks

Color of egg: Brown with cream speckles

Size of egg: small to medium, but she is very consistent and lays 5-6 eggs per week

Breed of hen: Red Sussex

Age in weeks when she laid: 32 weeks (ugg!)

Color of egg: Light Brown

Size of egg: This is her first week laying and they are large from end to end, but narrow...we will see

Breed of hen: Buff Sussex

Age in weeks when she laid: 27 weeks

Color of egg: Light Brown

Size of egg: This is also her first week laying, her eggs are long and narrow too. I expect both Sussex will lay large eggs in the end.
