how to care for a wild duckling

Pics
Container is pretty big. The largest I had in the house, and I don't think they come much bigger. It's so old, the bottom is cracked, but that is working to be a plus because a lot of the spilled water is draining out.

In 2nd picture, I removed the crumbles, so they could have more room. They weren't really eating it, and I think they would prefer the mush.

ADDED: DH is bringing home duckling crumbles. I'm also going to make a mix of hard boiled eggs and mealy worms, finely smashed, and try that with them.

Bath time. Some drank. Water was tepid and shallow, and they were only in there for a short time. Most were preening when they went back into the box. I'm considering anything normal to be a good sign. <smile>
