How to catch a pigeon/dove?

There has been a bird hanging around the dumpster where I work. I'm pretty sure it's a release pigeon or dove, can't tell which. I can get within a few feet and it just moves away, doesn't fly. I had some chicken feed in my car so I left some for it, other than that I think it's eating what is dropped when emptying the trash.

Is there any way to catch it? It's been there for at least a week now. I can't see a band, but it seems at least partly used to people.

JUST had another idea......throw a bedsheet on top of it! And and reach under and grab it without braking the wings.

I checked today and didn't see it, but I usually see it in the afternoon. I guess that means it can fly. Left food and water.

I'll take a cage, trap and net with me on Saturday and see if it's there and if I'm able to do anything.
