How to fence in areas off-limits to chickens in a way that looks nice?

Oh my gosh thank you all!! There are so many wonderful ideas here and they all are nice and neat or have a spark of brilliance to them (the fence angled slightly towards the birds made me think that). This is giving me great starting places while I make this yard a place my violets and (hopefully) chickens can coexist.

If you want a quick and easy solution, go to Lowes.com and do a search for "black metal fence panels". I am using some to keep the deer off my rose bushes and they work great. Good luck!

Aren’t those kind of expensive? Just wondering - I can’t imagine spending that much money just to keep chickens out of the flowers!
