How to get husband in gear to build coop

Exactly, beer tastes better with the top popped, ice cold, hand delivered to a hard working hubby on the job site. (Mode of dress, optional)

No, you aren't! in fact, we just had a mild argument the other day about the fact that I'd like more things to do. I love my wife...she's the only person in the world with whom I could EVER have that type of argument.

Go out to the garage and get his chain saw, walk into the house with it and announce "Honey I know your busy so I thought I would start cutting some wood for the coop by myself, can you pretty please show me how to start this thing?"

That'll get 'im moving. Seriously, though. My husband is willing enough but, frankly, I have more experience building things than he does (summers in my grandfather's woodshop as a child apparently paid off) so when I want something done very specifically I hafta wait til he's out of town and break out the tools to do it myself so I don't hurt his feelings. Love that man.

I have enjoyed this thread! I wanted chickens for 16 years of marrige...DH said NO...I finally wore him down to "if I build my own coop and do all the work"...I built my own coop and now 4 months later and he has taken over the whole operation...even has the nerve to tell me what chickens we should get next! LOL ( he just built an bigger coop/run Sunday!) He came home from work the other day and said his boss asked when they went from "her" chickens to his!

That was what I had in mind - while inappropriately dressed in something like granny boots, mini skirt, and a floaty-top guarenteed to get caught in the chain.

In reality, I do everything myself so that I can do it all MY WAY! Hey - if I only did things I do well, I wouldn't do much. I let my husband do whatever he wants.... then again... he left me some years ago.

Good luck! I am building a duckhouse now myself.... out of free pallets.... in an octagon shape.
