How to get labor started

Wear dirty underwear, and filthy socks, and have some chicken poop in your hair. ALSO, start laying concrete for a new sidewalk. THEN, the curry chicken, and walking ALL AT THE SAME TIME.

Don't hurry it. You'll probably create the need for more meds if you do.

By the time my 3rd decided he was ready, I had one hour from leaving the house to birth. As the anesthesiologist was putting the needle in my back, the head crowned. He was very small (the baby, not the anesthesiologist) so maybe that's why. He had no speed bumps.

It will happen when you least expect it. All 3 of my kids were born on the first due dates the Dr's gave me. Even the my first baby who was born 3 weeks early, they gave me 3 due dates with him and he was born on the first date. Good luck and push like the dickens

In France their due dates are 7 days past ours here in the states. So basically, 41 weeks there, which I think, based on most pregnancies is more accurate. My son was born 10 days past and my daughter 8 days. So you see, today would be your due date if you lived in France.

Remember the due date is just an estimated date of arrival. You could have ovulated later in the month so you could hang in there for another week. Don't be too impatient! Baby needs to finish cooking!

Just brainwash yourself that the baby is not due until the 14th!

My son was due in August.

July 12 I said "That's it! I'm done working! Tomorrow's my last day!"

Eric was born Friday, July 13 at 7pm, weighing 7 pounds. Not bad for three weeks early.

It's a good thing that my baby shower had been the previous weekend. That wee-wee pad thingy came in handy when my water broke at 1am. (I thought he was on my bladder, and I was peeing myself, and that's why I called out sick ... because I couldn't go to work peeing myself!) It took me until about 6 or 7am to figure out that I was in labor.
