how to keep chick water clean

Make a cone from a pizza box and tape it to the top. I find the inverted water dispenser is just a pain and only use it when they cannot reach a taller container. Some people like the rabbit style dispenser, but I have not tried it with the chickens. It did not work with the parrots as they thought it was a toy and played until all the water was gone and on the cage bottom.

I use the pet waterers from Walmart. I think they were like $3.15 or so. They learn fast. I just put a little saucer under it to catch the drips and they love it and so do I.

Thanks everyone! I did put the waterer up on an upside down cat dish, and it stayed clean all day. Kind of a "well, duh" moment for me. If they start perching I'll address that with one of the other great ideas!
