How to kill chick please asap!!

A vet told me once to put it in a can with a lid, and put into the freezer. I suppose in your case a yogurt container with lid.

That is a terribly mean way to kill a bird. That vet is brutal!

Not pleasant but we always grabbed the body in one hand and head in the other and have a quick sharp pull. Or when butchering just removed the head. Hope someone else has a more pleasant option. Sorry you have to go through it.

I agree... it sounds bad, but with a small bird it's instantaneous death.

I wouldn’t use that method with a chicken chick but worksfor quail. The only way I can cull larger chicks myself is to wrap it in a paper or old towel, lay its head on a block of wood and use a hammer or rubber mallet.

How old is this chick? Scissors used for household cutting will work on chicks up to six weeks. Or if you have garden pruners, they will work even better. The neck is very slender and is thin.

Do you have engine starter fluid by any chance?

Very small chicks use sharp scissors and remove the head.

I decided my scissors weren't sharp enough to try them.. I gave a quick sharp pull head came off easily
