OK so three weeks ago i packed 8 eggs in big bubble wrap. I wrapped each egg individually, then placed it in a stiraphome box snug with the other eggs. Then i closed to box taped it up and shipped to florida/ I am in san diego CA!! it took 5 days for the eggs to get there in USPS and just found out all the eggs candled duds. I need to know the best way to pack/ship eggs. I am trying to give something special to a friend.

I got some shipped to me today that were each bubble wrapped individually, then put in a box with syrofoam lining (all sides and top and bottom, then all the eggs were set into a bunch of packing peanuts.

I was mailed 16 eggs and not one of them was cracked.

Not sure about fertility yet, because I am setting them tonight. But they were in good condition on arrival, although a little cold. (then again we still have snow in WI)

Good luck!

It sounds like you are packaging them correctly. If they all arrived there without being broken, and you are sure of your fertility there is not much more you can do. Those boxes get bumped around pretty good in shipping by the USPS. If you go to bargain's page: https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=8875 it shows how to wrap eggs for shipping. I haven't received eggs from her but I have received eggs packaged like that and have had good hatches on shipped eggs. Hope this helps

My eggs arrived 2 days after they were shipped in a large flat rate priority mail box. The eggs were each individually wrapped in bubble wrap with newspeper & bigger bubble wrap on the top and bottom. No eggs (14) were cracked. Fertility? I dunno. None of them were stinking when I put them in the bator this morning.
