How to provide grit?

I toss grit on the ground,
either out with the scratch grains or into the dust bathing area.
Had a bird gorge on them with a container,
when I slaughtered her the gizzard was jam packed full of grit.

I use a copy (different plastic jar) of @aart container above for my oyster shell.

My dust bath is clean construction sand and sifted hardwood ash. Can I just toss grit into that?

I serve both grit and oyster shell in parrot cups hanging inside the coop.

I put it in small rabbit feeders. I have one for oyster shell and one for Grit. I also zip tie them so they can’t get knocked off.

Yup.

I use two 40 oz. Pails with six 3/32 inch holes for drainage of moisture. One for Poultry Grit and one for Oyster Shells.
I remove handle and hang with an eye screw. . I also mix Oyster Shells and Poultry Grit in with Scratch Grains. 1/20 and 1/40 to Scratch respectively and toss in their pens as a daily treat. . .GC
