Sorry, I was on a walk. Like this?
You might not want to leave it set overnight.I tested it with a stick. It worked! Thank you @The Moonshiner

Now hopefully the cat and not a skunk gets caught in the trap…
Thank you! I have a nice big can of albacore tuna.I have this same trap (different color) and just used it this morning to catch a cat. Unhook the blue. Hook the yellow hook in the red hole. That will lift the plate that the cat should step on to close the door. There's a metal latch on the top that will prevent the cat from escaping. When you want to release the cat, use the (blue) hook to hold the door open.

By the way, cats love tuna and that's what I used for bait in mine. You just want to put it as far back as possible so they have to step on the plate. It'd be best if you can set it against a wall so there's no other way to get to the tune except for through the door.
I think I will pick it up around ten if she hasn’t gotten caught by then. She generally eats around seven. You might not want to leave it set overnight.![]()

She’s called Francine right now…but maybe - she is black with a white chest and paws. I don’t actually know if it’s a boy or girl.Maybe they’ll name the trapped cat Moony!
