We are going on 5 years of keeping chickens, which started out as a joke for my daughter. Who knew we would love it so much?!? Anyway, back to the topic at hand:
This little girl loves to hatch and raise her chicks! In the past, she has had enough broody girls and supply of fertilized eggs from her 4H farm to keep the fun going. But we are in the city and obviously have a zero rooster policy, and these chicks always have one or two. Darn it, gotta blame Mother Nature and all. The little guys are hard to rehome.
Yet again, we have a broody...the second one now. Can this be stopped? How does one stop a hen from being broody? Can it be done safely, humanely?
