How to take care of button quail?

Ok I want button quail in the future so I need to now how many I should house together what food do they eat temperature..... Oh and I would like to keep as little quail as possible

I don't have button quail, but from what I've read by others here is that buttons do best in pairs only. They also should be kept in the house as they don't take to extreme weather well.

Quail require a high protein diet. I have coturnix and luckily found a store that sells game bird starter which is close to 30% protein I believe.

As for temperature it depends on if you mean for the chicks or adults? Chicks require the usual 100/95/90/85 and so on. Like I said earlier the adult temperature is somewhere around regular house temperature.

Yep, you got it almost exactly right rllupien. They do need company, even if they are living with another animal, like a coturnix, a bantam or a guinea pig, because they will literally die of loneliness if kept in solitude. They do best in pairs, (they are actually monogamous but they don't have to be, as I found from personal experience) and you got the chick temps right. For adults, they can survive at about -10, but I really mean JUST about survive. Room temp is fine, but they do like it nice and hot . Yes, they do need high fat and protein, so you can use formulated feeds and things, but my snooty little birds don't like it. They only except chick crum lol. They will do fine on chick crum, but make sure to give them a cuttlebone for calcium. Also, make sure the chick crum isn't medicated. Meds won't do them much good if they eat them for their whole lives.

Hope I haven't posted too late or anything, it's really annoying when that happens, and good luck with the buttons! (Hope you get round to buying some African land snails too)

When you mean pairs do you mean pairs and up or just pairs

I probobly won't get any giant African land snails my mom isn't a animal person and she says we have enough animals moms... But also how the world is right now and we have a big family too we are tight on money but we might get button quail

and ware on earth did you get GALS (nickname for giant African land snails)

Pairs means 1 male to 1 female.

It doesn't always have to be like that though, i had 1 male and 3 females.

They just do better with 1 male and 1 female

I could get money from selling them right? I don't really want lots of little babies (well I do but my dad probobly dosn't ) and I don't want fertile eggs I'm confused with breeding stuff
