How to Tell a Fertile vs INfertile Egg (Pictures)

um ok I gotta reply on this thread now as I am a certified country boy-or possibly redneck as my friends say even though I deny it. ALL fertile eggs have rooster bullets in them

NUFF SAID ok!!! After you have seen these eggs you will definately know which ones are which. In the case of rooster bullets the eggs are best scrambled so noone knows Anyway it's all good on tasted bread, cheese, and a sausage patty... Ask me how I know

My husband just said to me the other night that he wondered how a yolk can turn into a chick

LOL Sooo I got to teach him something for a change!!

I cracked open an egg and showed him what really turned into the chick and that the chick absorbs the yolk.

Thankyou. This is such a useful post at the minute. I'm new to breeding my own chickens etc so it has been great. I'm sitting here with a egg in a dish inspecting it,comparing it with the pictures.

Yes it's a fertile 1. Looks like my boy is doing his job well.

Wow, this is just an amazing thread!! I just cracked open 6 eggs for dinner and of those, 4 had the bullseye!!! I bought my laying hens at the beginning of May and they haven't been around a rooster since then! Amazing!
