How to train my almost 4 month old ducks to come when called?

You might also have some luck training ducks to walk on harnesses. One of my dream poultry-things is to train a pair of Malay chickens (VERY tall chickens that look like dinos) to walk on leashes so I can just walk them around the neighborhood like it's totally normal.
I have always wanted to do this!!!! I just can't find a place that sales them for cheap. Do any of you guys know a place?

I know I'm late to the party but YES! Training your ducks to come when called is the best thing ever. I decided one day to start, and all I did was call "duckies!" and then throw some corn where they could see it. Positive reinforcement! Now when I call "duckies!" they come running (half flying lol) and stand at my feet waiting for corn. It's the best! And also great when guests come over. Also, my ducks usually only listen to the voice of people they know. I guess it does depend on the tone. I've had people call "duckies" over and over again and not get so much as a quack. However, if I so much as say "duckies", they all look at me!

So cute!!! This has always been a dream to me(having them come when I call) so I am so excited to start training!!!!

My call is "quack quack good girl" and filling their tub and food bowels.

Unfortunately, I lost a white peckin duck this morning to a fox or something in the creek. I left both ducks and two turkeys in the creek and checked on them two hours later and found one duck and two turkeys back in their home together.

The remaining white pekin duck have been in a shock and calling/looking all day and had a miserable day today. Does anyone have a 4 month old white pekin duck I can purchase in Gainesville, Florida ASAP? I have not told my son that his duck is gone.

I am so sorry for your loss. I don't know of any pekins, but in several months I should be hatching out some pekin/buff mixes. I live like 13 hours form Florida tho so I would have to ship them to you. Let me know if you could be interested....if the eggs even hatch.

Thank you so much for your quick response as well!
The good news is that my husband found a similar duck at the Waldo Flee Market this morning. It is a male and seems to get along with our female duck.
My son found out this morning that we lost the other duck yesterday, but is glad that our duck now has someone with her. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions!
