How you know when your chickens healed

I was nursing my chicken back to health in my room because she was being pecked a lot because I guess she just wasn't moving and blocking everyone else from the feeder so I brought her in for a couple days,I just went to refill her waterer today and I came back in and she flew up and knocked off the baby gate I had on top of the box to keep her from flying out and had flew up onto my stereo......
