Yes, I am new to chickens. I am hoping to start my first backyard flock within the next year on an acre of land that my late mammaw gave me.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
0 at the moment. I am in the planning stages of designing my coop, run, and security.
(3) What breeds do you have?
None yet.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
My mammaw always talked about raising chickens on Foley Hill in Anderson County, Tennessee. Her stories have inspired me to take up the hobby in her memory.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy researching forgotten and local history, collecting antiques, hiking, and landscaping.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a 13-year-old golden retriever and a black stray cat that "adopted" me.

I just learned about the website today. A friend of mine told me about it.
