Closed topics will definitely be transferred. Everything will, except the buddy list. And the new search function works much better!

Pics will be much simpler -- though there are bugs in that system so it may require just a little patience. Hopefully it will be up and running when we convert.

Glad the changes are comming as it needs to happen
The only thing is - it took me ages to get to grips with the old stuff!!!!!!!! I have had a chance to look at the new and at the start I was worried and wasn;t sure of all the changes. I hope I get to grips with it all. I will miss the buddy list of course.

Wow. Those are some huge changes! Most of these changes sound wonderful, and the rest sound like they'll be okay too.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new BYC.

I would also like to know about the BSA listings. So will they be like a thread format now like they were back before we switched to the auction system. If there won't be an actual bidding system, would sellers still be able to post a starting bid and have members manually post a bid if they want, without using the proxy bid system ?

I don't remember the format before the auction system, but the new site allows the seller to post a starting bid for the auction and those interested in the item post their bid in a reply. But, like speckledhen said, Nifty will be the best as explaining it. I don't use the auction section very much at all.
