Help! My duckling, Charlie is about two weeks old. Yesterday she started developing these weird, scary growths on her cheeks, and I’m seriously freaked out and terrified for her! I’ve read about swollen cheeks because of sinus infection on here, but her nares look clear and the big bumps are hard, not squishy. (She seems to be eating and drinking fine and is not lethargic.) Please help me. One of my other ducklings came down with a respiratory infection and Charlie was exposed to that before we quarantined the infected duckling, so I am wondering that’s maybe it, but that one has no chubby cheeks and online nothing mentions the cheek growths as a symptom. Are they tumours?? Help!

If your other duckling was infected, you may as well expect your others to get it as well. It's very very difficult to keep the disease away from other animals that live in close quarters, or that you are caring for.
Did you wash your hands and change your clothes and shoes every time you went from infected duckling to your healthy flock? I don't know much about respiratory diseases so I could be wrong, but we'll see what Eggcessive says.
Did you get your other ducklings tested to determine the type of respiratory disease you are dealign with?

My infected duckling is in the same brooder but in a box placed in the brooder, if that makes sense. I sanitized myself between holding them but the group was all together for at least a few days when the one duckling was infected so they were exposed. I watched closely and none showed symptoms until this ducklings face became swollen. I just added antibiotics to her water as well just in case. But I don’t think this is a respiratory infection, it looks like a swollen sinus.
