I have a hen that has grown a HUGE CROP just this last week or so. It is the size of a base ball or a little larger. I felt it & it is soft & spongy. what can I do?
Thanks

Here are some suggestions that I dont know if you are doing or not but might help

feed her plenty of grit, medium for batams , large for standard size chickens
If you dont have that clean sand and pebbles and dirt in a dish or does she free range?

Feed her feed but no grass or straw and such that could clear it up some

I heard a small amt (1/2 tsp) of mollasses will get everything moving

I also heard some olive oil (1/2) tsp might help

she is free range bird. I have olive oil I will try and put some down her beak. I thouht about using hemostats & grabbing what ever it is but I don't think it would work. It is getting larger evert day . could it be something stopping hr up/ rocks? paper? or somerthing?

Try feeding her some live culture yogurt, it is probioticn and can aid in diguestion.

Does she have bad breath? that could be an indication of sour crop, and the yogurt should help.
