Thank you!! Luckily, everyone here has been incredibly supportive and even interested in the whole process. It's been pretty. The little chick is coming home with me tonight for the long weekend...I'm now torn about whether or not to make holes in the other eggs...I heard them peeping last night and there is just silence.

I'm hoping they didn't run out of air.

UPS - Uninterruptible Power Supply

Basically it's a big battery that you plug into the wall, then plug computers or other electronic equipment in. SpeckledHen uses one on her incubator as well. The longer you're wanting the battery to last, the more expensive the UPS. Businesses use them to keep computers running so folks have enough time to save their work and shut the computers off. They're also used to keep servers and other network equipment up and running during brownouts and short blackouts.
