Omg I'm so pissed! My neighbors dog killed one of my black Ameraucana chicks! She snatched it right out of my daughters hands and broke its neck!

That is horrible! Though I am glad your daughter wasn't harmed, I am sorry for your loss in regards to the chick. I would have a stern word with my neighbors if that ever happened to me, and ask to pay for the chick and how much feed it had ate prior when their dog took it.

It won't bring back that individual chick or remove the trauma caused, but it'd make the neighbors think again in regards letting their dog wander. It could have bitten your kid's hand too when snatching the chick!

Yes indeed I'm very glad it didn't bite her in the process. It was so traumatizing for her she was just sitting at the coop holding the chickens and that stupid dog just came up and snatched it! We talked to my neighbor and she came and got her dog and said she will keep it tied up. I doubt that though.. her horses got loose and have been hanging out in my pasture for the past two weeks too.
