River jumped, startled that the girl had appeared nearly out of thin air next to her. "Uhuh, yeah." She said quickly, backing up slightly to get the odd teenager out of her face. "It's pointless." She muttered, partly about the dance, and partly to herself about getting away, other people were standing so close that it would be almost impossible to turn tail and flee. "I don't believe we know each other...?" She said, slightly hinting that since they weren't acquaintances, to get out of her face.
