two of my most prised roosters were just stolen at 8:00 this morning leaving a feathery mess all over the back yard! but here was the weird thing there was no sign of forced entrance, no hole dug under the coop, and all of the other chickens were left relatively untouched it. so me and my brother came up with only one thing that can do something like this my new neighbors

. my old neighbors were relay cool with us having chickens and even a rooster as long as we didn't complain about there loud parts but now we have these new guys move in and I've seen allot of strange things happening on my street fire crackers going off in my back yard people skulking in the Alie next to my house and heres the worst of all my neighbor screaming form his front porch "what the H@## are you doing with chickens in america!! get the f^@# out of here ruining my hood..." this guy was talking a whole lot of stuff moving in and telling me that i'm ruining the street when I've not done a single thing to any this guy was singling me out because i'm young foreign and do things a little different i wish this guy would grow a pair and come at me face to face like a real man instead of going around taking my favorite roosters!! trespassing on my property!!! and realy bringing red to my eyes!!!

I'm sooooo sorry! You must put a camera and locks on your coop immediately, and report this to the police. This guy is not going to stop bullying and clearly considers himself above the law. You need to collect evidence, and since he doesn't mind hurting animals, be very cautious, as he probably wouldn't mind hurting a human.

Stay on your toes! I'd also put motion detector lights all around, but not until I have a camera set up. Don't make the camera visible or you'll never catch him.

Being American....

Have you contacted the police about him? With all these issues coming about I'm more concerned for your safety than just the chickens. I agree on the camera set-up, but instead of just having one camera have a couple or more. Make sure you get all areas of your property that you can. ....Then again I'm paranoid

You can report it- the only way to prove you HAD roosters is to show the roosters!! You report missing chickens; it's not necessary to disclose the sex of the missing birds.

Even if they pulled out the missing roosters, you're guilty of no crime, because they can't evidence them live on your property. I like the idea of having bigger neighbors get his attention, if you can, you should.

This is why I live in the sticks. I lived too long with alleys, and oddball neighbors. Now the only alley's I have are the ones I cut for shooting lanes.

Just my two cents: I've had nasty neighbors, and don't ever want them again. Please think long & hard about what you decide to do.

i'm not going to do anything about it this time but just ask around to see anyone saw any thing and just talk and try and calm down (i have a relay ad temper every one in my family dose) but if this happens one more time i'm going to lose it!! (as if i ever had it)

I live way way out the the country and nearest neighbor is 1/4
of a mile away, but is FAMILY....with the out of control children of this day's world! I have locks on all my coops! And have called the sheriff, but no proof....GRRRRRR
