Here are the totals from past tourneys. I was in the tourney in 1996 when they set the record. It was a picture perfect weekend and the carp were in full spawn. This year they are moving the tourney up 2 weeks because "low lake levels". It seems like every year lately we miss the spawn by a week or two. Hopefully we will have a great year.

It was a ton of fun. We don't have a boat, so we just walk the irrigation canals and we pulled in around 600 lbs back in 1996. We were exhausted after. I can't imagine pulling is over 1000 lbs.

I have matured past hunting...I am now just aguide and cleaner...meaning...my kids are old enough that I hunt with them and they aren't old enough to hunt alone and I don't hunt!

We concluded our season with 2 does, 1 buck old 6 point great managemnet deer, and a button oops doe that the grand-father called a doe (at least it wasn't me!)

I took one shot at a deer that was in a wheat field and I had crawled out to and decided i was gonna shoot! I now have a range finder

Steveo-BEAUTIFUL gun! I love the wood. I would have to say I am not familiar with that caliber. What kind of distance do you think you will be shooting?
