hunting

A couple photos from my trailcam. Bow season opened last saturday. Too hot yet I won't hunt till october. We can legally bait here in NJ. This is a corn pile with a couple watermellons thrown in.

This guy is still around but is now a 10 point he lost one point this year, right across the street from my house is were we seen him about 4-5 times this year, he is still a brute of a buck. hopefully he sticks around or at least comes over behind my house so i can get a pic of him. Better yet get a shot at him this season. My cameras have been off the past two weeks, but will restart them back up soon. had a bobcat here a few nights ago found his prints right up at our creek were my one cam is..

Archery opener here in Wisconsin was good to me. My first archery buck. I couldn't be happier with this 8 pointer! Clean double-lung pass through shot. He went about 70 yards and dropped. Since I hunted the stand on the edge of a woods/meadow on the backside of our property, DH & the kids watched the hunt unfold from our loft window. I still can't wipe the smile off my face

I put in a whole hour and a half in the stand for the season - makes up for the hundreds of hours spent over the past few years & coming up empty handed.

My treestand is about 30yds from my chicken coop. Those photos are from under the treestand. It is great having your own land to hunt huh ledgewoods. Very nice buck.

Good luck with that 10pt Wilds of Pa. He is a nice one.

LedgeWoods nice job!! I shot a bear on Sept. 21,2010 near Mellen WI. the weight was 305 field dressed. Had a great time and can now start to consintrate on bow hunting. I should have pics of my bear soon. Mike

Our muzzle-loader season starts Oct 23 here. Haven't taken one with a muzzle-loader, yet. Gonna try again this year, tho. I DID however, get my first forked-horn buck last season. He wasn't what ya'll would call huge, but I did it all by myself. I've only been hunting for 2 years now. I choose which stand I want to hunt, and the guys go elsewhere. I am proud to be able to say I got this one all by myself. It's what makes him so special to me. He was my second buck of the season, but the only forked-horn for me. The others were long-horned spikes. Anyway, here he is:

I just can't wait to get to the woods this year!!!

Ledgewoods! Congrats on the nice buck!

Opening day Archery today!!! Wish I could be out... wasn't able to practice much this summer as several birds decided my deer decoy made a good nest box... they litterally dug hole out of it for nests......buggers! Of course... I already had it poked full of holes anyway!

I know there's a nice buck out there, cause I saw him at the end of the season last year!

my 14pt, 175 non-typical from 1995!

Good Job Fellow Female Bow hunter!!! Woohoo!! I too bow and gun hunt but, its been way too hot here to sit in a stand with all the skeeters swarming. I did shoot a doe eating my uncle's bean patch 3 weeks ago during crop damage. Walked in 300 yrds and there she was. No damage to the beans anymore.
