Opening firearm season started Nov 15th.... I hunted all weekend at my parents... but I'm itching to try out my blind! Will check the cam after I drop off the doe I shot at my parents Sunday night at the processors.
The rest of the week I'm staying home and hoping to nail this big guy!

I love the blind!

Bow season has been open for about two months now and I still haven't shot a deer. The main reason is I had to move my stand four times. First time was because of stand and trail cam theft. The other times were because of territory disputes (mainly "I was hunting this area first", "You're too close to my stand", "You can't go over there" kind of things. The most recent one was "I've been hunting this ridge for fifteen years! What makes you think you can come over here?). The joys of hunting public land in overpopulated New Jersey. You cant hunt anywhere that you won't get into an argument with somebody. But yesterday I got my stuff set up over some scraps where there is absolutely no one hunting close to me. We'll see what happens, but I'm a bit sceptical of whether I'll actually see deer or not. I have a feeling that buck is visiting those scraps at night.

Note to self: GET PRIVATE LAND FOR NEXT SEASON!

Any of you hunters from IL? And do any of you keep skins of you kill? i am a fly tier and in need of a few birds and furs. I would like if any of you have skins i would like, , Ring neck pheasant ( male and hen) Deer of any sort, Grey and red fox, Grouse of any species, Mallard, Wood duck, any waterfowl bird will do , starling, crow, Mink, Muskrat, Fitch, grey squirrel, quail, turkey any bird that is illegal to hunt i can use. Far as furs go .....it is a little bit more secretive . But if any of you hunt and have some skins to get rid of let me know. shoot me a P.M. I live in IL but if any of you are not in IL got skin to get rid of send me a Personal message and we can go from there. I can't hunt cuzz of my vision and my parents would think not highly of bring a gun in the house. but it thought i should give this a chance and see what i get out of it. I mite be able to pay something.but i am not a rich guy. I again am a fly tier and fly fishermen in Bloomington IL looking for somethings i am in need of far as fly tying stuff goes. i'll be welcome to trade with jigs for Bass and Panfish that i make my self , and or flies if your a panfish fishermen. jigs i would use are 1/32 oz and as small as 1/124 oz jigs and if you want flies just tell me what you want the fly to do and i'll send you some. But again if any hunters and fishermen have anything far as animal skins go fur and feathers go. Send me a P.M. and i'll go from there. And Thanks to anyone willing to help me out.
