hunting

I've been learning how to set coyote traps. I've never done much trapping in the past, but we have a serious coyote problem.

Here is the Six pointer that my son took this year. This is his third deer in two seasons- all with a .50 cal muzzleloader.

I didn't realize there were so many hunters on this site.I really like to see all the ladies that hunt and some with a bow.

I got 2 deer this season a one antlered buck and a huge doe.My husband got 3,a doe,a 6 point and a 8 point that is now taking up space in my freezer waiting to be mounted.I don't know how many squirrels we got but it has been alot and we still have till the end of this month to go.Then it'll be time to get ready for turkey season in April.

I do have a PSE bow that I love to shoot but I haven't tried to hunt with it yet.I don't want to make a bad shot so I'm waiting until I get even better before I even try.
I love all the pics.Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

This weekend coming up is the last weekend here to rabbit hunt and squirrel went out 2 weeks ago. Only thing this year we've got is rabbits and 2 squirrels. Waiting for the squirrel forms to get here to started on mounting them.

Never got a deer this year had to buy 2 from a butchers place that had left over deer. $80 per deer.

Hopefully I get drawed for a turkey hunt so I don't waste the turkey tag AGAIN... Never got a turkey here.

Bleh I just suck at hunting...

Attack Chicken there is way more to hunting then killing a deer lol. I have deer in my yard everyday. I also hunted them 4 or 5 times a week during the season. They were under my stand EVERY time I went out. But you know what? I didn't shoot one either lol. Missed a real nice buck with my bow. But I had such a good time sitting in the woods watching all the animals.

Would of been different if I had seen a deer those two weeks total I was out there.

Not seeing a thing gets boring quite fast IMO until the russle of leaves get you going and it turns out to be a bleeping squirrel

I'm still poping rabbits. Up to 10 so far this season. I hope to get out a do some squirrel hunting before the season is over at the end of the month, the problem is we have a lot of snow, I don't have any snow shoes and there is no warm up in the extended forecast.

Looks like I will be getting a good workout if I want to knock down somw tree rats.

My dad and I are going to do some carp shooting in May, that is a ton of fun if the carp are spawning.

RThomas-Tell your son CONGRATULATIONS! Looks to me like you've started a good little hunter. Congratulations to you, too!

Patman-Are you shooting them with a bow? That is such a hoot. Where I lived before we had a large pond just off the river, so when the river would get out of it's banks it would fill the pond, and the first fish to float in would be a boatload of carp. The kids and I shot many, many carp!

Yes we are bowfishing. There is a big tournament in the Saginaw bay on Lake Huron that is just packed with common carp. 1 year we took over $500 lbs in one weekend, which is really not that much. But out of the 500 particapants combined we took down 270,000 lbs in just one weekend. The professionals with their airboats were taking in over 5000 lbs.
