That first one does look a little on the "scary" side huh..
No way in the world @rjohns39 is anything but a gentle man.

It's like you americans are still like the pioneers in the movies with the covered wagons, facing daily perils. Hurricanes, hundreds of marauding critters and varmints, jumanji animals waiting to getcha, trees about to fall on you, and being tortured in corners.....
Yet people say it's dangerous down under with the sharks and the poisonous spiders. I'm thinking we've got it good compared to what I've heard lately :D (just hope there aren't any major bushfires this season)
Hate to tell you but the Northwest of the US is on fire among other places. Yes we are still Pioneers, thought y'all were too!

yes, just be prepared in case, not OMG the New England states are going to be gone, better safe and prepared than sorry with your pants down. Just the opinion of one who lives on the Gulf Coast.

Totally the way I feel. And in regards to all the other comments about thin skinned... nobody worry about me in that regard. My father made sure I was weaned on sarcasm. Lol.

I will take our "critters and varmints" any time....sharks and poisonous spiders....:barnieI can't even do house spiders! OH...and snakes!!! You guys have major snakes too! Don't even get me started on the time I reached into a nesting box to get eggs and touched a black snake curled up underneath....:sick

Then again, there's southern Michigan. No big earthquakes, no hurricanes, no tsunamis! No mudslides. Wildfires small. Lots of water, few floods. Snow in winter, true, but it's pretty! Varying seasons, nearly no poisonous snakes, no grizzly bears! Kinda nice for us wimpy adventure- adverse older folks. Mary
Still way too cold for me! Oh, and I don't want to get out of bed earlier than I have to just to shovel snow so I can go somewhere. Sorry
