I got married 6 months after high school, so had to borrow the parents' car in high school. After 1 and 1//2 years of marriage we bought a new car, a triumph spitfire that I drove for about 10 years. Shortly after buying this car we realized we really needed a 2nd mode of transportation and as I was the only one with a job, ex hubby ended up with a Honda motorcycle (a 125 LOL), but he just had to get to class and back.
My Daughter has a partial scholarship to her school and we allowed her to "purchase" transportation with the two years of scholarship money she has earned so far, as she will be driving soon, although not by herself here for another 1 and 1/2 years. We told her that all her hard work at school was what was paying for this and that if she continued to keep her scholarship it would pay her insurance and she would not need a job for that. Now the whole idea here is to have her keep those grades up and get a scholarship to college. Hope it works.

Daughter has already been offered a summer job for next summer, so she will have some money of her own.

I still think that many of us have raised our kids the way we were mostly by daughter talks that she is teaching hers the way I did her took that as a major compliment

Try some of the BodyFit by Amy on youtube. She is amazing. I love her TRX ones but you have to have a TRX or one of the other suspension trainers. I have a WOSS, toughly made but a lot cheaper.

Can you use it while you watch a movie or the news or something like that? Might make it easier to get that work out done if you have a distraction, or tell yourself you can only watch your favorite show if you do the workout at the same time.

Michael Berry's Moonshine is delightful. Smooth. Delicious. I know store bought, but too far away from the kin to get good homebrew. Makes good medicine too. Or tea sweetener.

The Pecan Pie was interesting and too sweet when used straight. As a mixer, oh my!
The Blueberry is good straight. I mean GOOD!
Didn't care for the apple pie. Something was off.
The Cherry Pie tastes like Robitussin. I never liked Robitussin. And it doesn't taste like cherries. Memories of being sick and unhappy thoughts.

okay, since this thread is slow today, I'll tell one more.
A few years ago I was traveling to Virginia, alone. I was on the road late at night and there was very little traffic. Now, New Orleans is flat as a pancake and as I got farther north, things begin to get more hilly. So I decided when I got to the top of a hill, I would just take my foot off the gas and just coast down the hill. Well by the foot of the hill I would be going pretty fast and of course got pulled over. Now remember it's like 2am, and he askes why I am driving so fast. I told him I was really sorry but being from New Orleans, and not used to hills, the car seemed to get away from me going down them. He asked why I wasn't using my cruise control. To which I answered that I had only had the car a few months and didn't know how to use it, was 57 years old and had never used cruise control in my life. This poor man leaned in my car and showed me how to use cruise control, before giving me a warning and sending me on my way.

but cruise control doesnt control the brakes just the gas, silly officer

TRX = Total Resistance EXTREME.
I can't do any EXTREME stuff right now.
Maybe in a year or two.
