We are both old enough life began I was just 15 he was headed to Vietnam lost track went on our way to our own life's, he was married twice had 2 boys with # 2 she went through post mortem depression eventually took her own life.. he has the greatest fear of me leaving like that... to marry would only make it worse... we are perfect as buddies

Pot pie filling almost ready. I tried something different...I threw some tarragon in it. Never did this before...I hope I didn't screw it up.View attachment 1149785

I use red potatoes a lot.
I never peel them.

I had a friend over the other day, she is from Brazil...she asked why we never peel our potatoes...it was weird to her.
I didn't have an answer.

Do you all peel your potatoes?

We don't, even for mashed. Lots of vits and goodys in the skin!

Most of my family does but we don't. Waste of good food and fiber!



Same here usualy unless I'm canning them, then I peel.


Hubby and I have been together since we were 16. We went to the same school but never knew each other into we met at work (McDonald's). Moved in together right after I graduated. My parents were furious! We got married 2 1/2 years later and have been married now for 12 years. We didn't have a fancy wedding because we just couldn't afford it lol. The JP was fine for us since in our minds we were already married. Besides, I didn't want to get a dress on over my big prego belly! It was a little wedding in a courtroom with family and friends and a simple reception at my parent's house.

We got married in our home, my cousin said it was the best wedding she had ever been to. Been over 18 years now.

I like tarragon on fish and some veggies--I do not like it that much on Turkey or chicken

It's very rare for me to peel a potato, sometimes--but seldom. When I can them as potatoes, they get peeled--Don't know why other than that's how grandma did it.

X2 Lots of vitamins and fiber in the peel. I rarely peel carrots either and I never waste the root of the celery stalk.
