What a great idea. I really like that look, had DH make me a bread board from a hunk of tree from SIL's house, with the bark on. Are you better with paint or marker? And what did you use on the ones in the pic? Cause they look great.I have some wood slices left over from a project...
Am thinking of making something like these for the kid's class for Christmas.
I have a few more pieces of good size wood to cut more slices too.
Would it be better to use a marker you think of paint to decorate them?

I went through a lot of this with my two girls and my ex. He would try to manipulate all of us with threats and it got to the point that his older daughter wanted nothing to do with him, and when the youngest turned 16, she informed both of us that she wasn't going to his house any more. He threatened to take me to court and I asked him what for? I wasn't keeping the girls from him, they were both within 2 years of 18 or less and did not wish to go. Waste the money on a court hearing he wasn't likely to win (judge NEVER ruled in his favor)? Not likely. Today, neither girl talks to their dad. Sad, but he made that bed all by himself. You need only obey the decree as it is written and you'll be fine as far as the courts are concerned.Unfortunetly no... LOL 'My Way' isn't really mine. Its what the divorce decree says. For some reason he thinks that I'm going to say 'ok' come visit... and then when he gets here, change my mind. Legally I can't. the only thing I need to look into is if I *have* to make my kids go. I don't think my son wants to, if the guy shows up.
The only reason he thinks I'd do that, is because he used to do that to his 2nd wife with my eldest. Tell her she could visit with her, and then either change his mind before it happened, or show up in the middle of the night and take her back.
