Not that I'm and enabler or anything--but after you master the burner, you'll be wanting to upgrade to carving. OH! and they teach classes as well.:woot
I had been doing a few wood craft project using an exacto knife and a dremel.

This was the first Texas thing I made..it is horrible but I kept it because it was my first.

I made a lot more better looking ones but don't have pics of them handy.

So one year everyone got Texas handmade things for Christmas..the next year everyone got crosses.

This time I practiced on everyone else's cross first and saved mine for last.

I have no idea what I want to make this year.

Krafty Kiki, covert chicken keeper, carve carefully!

Do the wood burning outside with good ventilation. Do you have aloe available?

If you aren't happy with #1, do it again. Good thing about wood, you can always redo, repaint and remodel. Everyone needs chisels. Can you sharpen a knife? Dull cutting tools are dangerous.

What's the difference between a bad carpenter and a good carpenter?

The good carpenter can hide his mistakes better.

PS - straight cuts are over rated. No character.
