I'm about twenty pages behind, lol, but yep, I breed tufted Romans. I vote tufted Roman on the white goose. Here are mine:

@DwayneNLiz
You see what color these are?

:lau:hugs:hugs:hugs

Are these male or female?

I'm thinking mine is a female??

Finn in the front there is male. Him being in the front is actually a clue - ganders put themselves in front of their geese and between anything that might be a threat. Behind him is Jasmine, a female, and to the side is Lacie, my oldest female.

If you need help sexing them I can walk you through vent sexing. That's how I do it, lol.

@KikisGirls I just read back through a bit, is your gander chasing and attacking you? Time to show him who's boss.
First...they aren't really mine.
The live in the neighborhood pond.
Second...he hasn't attacked me yet...but he sure does scare me.

He honks like crazy at me and he lowered his head and ran straight at me...I took off running.

HECK NO I AM NOT TOUCHING THIS goose! He will kill me.
He is a he..he has to be.
I think the white one is a girl..she stays behind him and pays no attention to me.

I'm getting my outfit ready to go feed the ducks..what am I missing?
Shield..check
Steel toe books...check
Kids bike helmet check

Seriously, ditch the shield and stick. When he comes at you, don't back down. You're gonna 'fight' him like another gander would. You're gonna get big. Spread your 'wings' as a threat. DEMAND that he respect your space. Yell at him. Really. If he comes at you, you grab him around the neck. Not gently, grab that bird. Pick him up and hold him down hard. Pin his wings shut. That's what a dominant gander would do to a subordinate gander than challenged him. He'll get the idea that you're dominant pretty quick.

And don't hand feed him treats, lol. Giving him food is something a subordinate goose would do. A subordinate goose never gets to eat the dominant's food.

Seriously, my aunt had geese that would attack her. They challenged me ONCE. They never tried that again, lol. I never even had to get physical with them. When they charged me, I charged them back. They backed down instantly.

Yep, sounds like a gander and a goose.

Yeah he drinks coffee and beer but he doesn't like soda. I don't purposely give him any of it he's a drink thief. He's never more than arms length away if I'm outside so if I put it down for a second he's in it, trots away if I catch him but he's got that beard so he's busted either way.
He is really a looker!!! Wait, he drinks coffee?

I am determined to train this guy to leave me alone when I go to visit.
I figure the more often I show up with treats he will eventually leave me alone?

was going to suggest the stick ... then I saw your checklist ... perfect! You will feel brave- that's half the battle there!
eta - Better yet do what @Pyxis said. (are you taller than the goose?) :lau
