I talked to him in a mean deep voice.
He fussed a little bit then WALKED AWAY!!!!!

Had to leave for 3 hours for my daughter's dance class and had to catch up. You guys talk a lot!

KINDA looks like my white goose.

I really think the A Hole is cute...maybe I can have my own Lollipop one day and teach him to NOT chase me!

Raise him from a baby, have him imprint on you and follow you all over the place, every chance you get! I had Lollipop upside down today, laying across my lap on his back, rubbing his belly! He's not thrilled when I do that but he doesn't fight me. He stepped on some hot coals a couple months ago so he got used to me doing this to check his foot and medicate it.

I am determined to train this guy to leave me alone when I go to visit.
I figure the more often I show up with treats he will eventually leave me alone?

Good luck! Geese don't really like treats...only grass. Though, I just found out the other day that they seem to like oats.....

First...they aren't really mine.

Second...he hasn't attacked me yet...but he sure does scare me.

He honks like crazy at me and he lowered his head and ran straight at me...I took off running.

NEVER run from a goose! You build him up if you do that and it let's him know that he intimidates you. You have to stand your ground.

This is what I just learned.

Geese are out of the question for now.
The pekin is a nutball..it runs around chasing the others and quacks a lot.
The rouen one is way too loud too...it didn't shut up once.
I didn't hear a peep out of any of the muscovies.

So maybe I can sneak scovie or two in my yard??

Muscovies are extremely quiet. Males hiss and females make a quiet little cooing noise. I rarely hear mine quack and is usualy only after one gets bit or pecked by someone else.

And I was parked right in front of someones house.
They probably had security cameras watching me.

DH would die if he came home from work and I had a stolen duck living in the bathroom.

Next time you will have to walk from the other direction, dressed all in black to avert the security cameras. Don't know what to tell you about the Hubby. Mine would probably let you keep the duck. Would your's clean my swimming pool?
