Well just finish my shift at MC D's in the drive thru (excuuuuse me - through ) so my brain is not working again yet but I'll give you one that came up last year and is gaining in use:
kakistocracy ...

joins two words and phone numbers

dash aka em dash ---
sudden break in a sentence

en dash --
express a range (think page numbers)
AND
connect a prefix or suffix to an open compound

Y'all still going on about that line thing? Pardon me, line -thing.

NO spaces in front or behind a hyphen. EVER.

Just use 3 hyphens every time and you should be ok.
