right there also being physically spent and mostly blind I am out drives me nuts times like this and I am a female just very strong one and stubborn as all getout

Sorry to bother you guys, but I don't know where else to ask this... Has anyone heard from our friend from Puerto Rico? I just keep hearing very concerning news from there about landslides and so on.

This thread is gigantic now, and I have not read it all (although when it started out, I was keeping up and did keep up for quite a while). I'm just hoping that somewhere buried in here is some good news?

Yes, you are correct, that's who I meant. Thank you... Oh, I hope we hear from her too. It breaks my heart every time I see photos from the island. I really hope she is OK.

We are all waiting to hear from our @theuglyduckling ! She has been mentioned many times as news from Puerto Rico surfaces.
@rjohns39 has done a great service keeping us informed and our heads grounded with his voice of experience.
PR is in serious straits and has a long road to recovery. Our prayers continue to support the island and her residents.

Thank you! I went to bed around 11:30 PM with the wind blowing and the rain falling. Our power went off for about 15 seconds then came back on. I checked on the chickens this morning and they were ready to get out and free range. All were fine and I got the usual number of eggs today. So, thank goodness that's over with!

Yes - we only lost it for about 15 seconds. Others in our area were not so lucky, but everyone has power restored now. It was fairly rough, but not any worse than a severe summer thunderstorm - just longer.
