We have those from hubby's grandmother as well. There was also a small set of dishes that came with her from Germany. I have those (and the pie dishes) displayed in a big hutch. Hubby uses the cast iron skillets still.I have cast iron skillet of 14 inch with a lid from Grandma I have her pie plates now the old sifter juicer all the things I cherish

Poor thing. My dog hates cold too.Since I missed the cold conversation, the coldest I've seen it get here is -12. THAT was extreme. Our poor old terrier mix (almost 14 years old) went out to pee and was walking so slow to come back in, like his joints were frozen!
Lol, I too have come off more than I care to remember. Don't think I have in about 4 years now which means I'm due shortly for another spectacular oneI'm wary of horses and turkeys....both are beautiful but I have been tossed off a horse twice and almost attacked by a turkey.
So I admire them from a looooooooooooooong distance.

My attempt would have ended at the electric roaster....I would have found a way to short it out, take the rest of the house with it, and then set everything on fire.
I am in awe and envious at the same time of your cooking skills (and animal husbandry and butchery).
