Friends in Hammond said there's major damage to the airport.

We also have a friend in NOLA who is out of town for the next week. He left his dog in the care of a neighbor and now she's panicking and is likely going to leave and abandon this dog. We're begging the lady to drop off the dog at our house in BR.
How far is it? Can you meet her half way? Maybe between the two of you, you could ask people for help arranging a doggy railroad.

NOLA is about 2 hours away from BR. However, it's impossible for incoming traffic to enter anywhere down south. The damage is really severe. This is all being relayed through my friend, who is orchestrating it.

I suspected as much. Fingers crossed she does the right thing by that dog. :fl

It's a purebred female Shepherd, and she's my friends' baby. They have no kids, just her. I really hope she ends up safe.

In other news, Tulane is shutting down until October and relocating everyone on campus to Houston.
