Did you two live?
Power is nice, but so over rated.

Glad to here things are progressing. Surprised the chickens didn't move back outside already.
Check with me in another week.
Especially when yours is on😄
The chickens were in a 6x2' pen I built. Collapsible so I could bring it upstairs and reassemble it with just a battery drill. I may have to do an article about it.

I just saw someone on the news in Laplace that says they have a 10,000.00 whole house generator but they (not the owners) cut the Natural gas off. If I get one it'll be propane so I can have a tank.

FL will do the same, though there isn't as much Nat Gas used in the state. Solar, too - they insist on being able to shut it off remotely so the lines aren't energized by someone's solar farm when the crews go to work on them. It also, of course, helps them maintain their monopoly, if the SOlar you bought for emergencies can't actually be used in... ...an emergency.

I assume many other States are similar.

One day, I'll add Solar to my barn, not on the grid, stack a handful of batteries, and insulate the back room - just enough to run an small AC unit and a refrigerator. Heat isn't an issue, I've acres of firewood, and a raincatch system for water (for the animals and washing, not for me).

Yeah
I'm a propane fan myself. It can be stored indefinitely. And a big thing is it burns alot cleaner and no worrying about gas gumming up the carburetor or going bad and not starting. This time I had both propane and gas but I think on the top of the to do list is going to be a 100lb propane tank. Thatll carry us a ways and ill have gas as backup like now
