Hurricane Advice

One of the major freeways finally opened back up yesterday.
A large area (neighborhood) is still under water.
Most all schools started back yesterday or today, some schools had to be combined.

Yards are still full of big piles of trash, homes are still being ripped apart.
Basically almost back to normal.

Kiki, so glad things are getting back to normal. Keep us posted on how it's going. Know that we are here for you if meet with frustrations on the way. Again stay safe.

Good..we spent the weekend over there cleaning up.
Almost filled one huge dumpster with "trash" we collected from her land.

Gators are usually not agressive, whole family has been swimming in gator infested water in the past. Salt water Crocs are a different story. I am sure someone with a boat will help her out, just as they did in Houston. Americans have come a long way when it comes helping people in the last 12 years. The positive that came from a negative. We can all be proud of positive lessons learned.

I will update as I find out. I do know there are alligators in that area and someone caught one in the ocean at Amelia Island last year. I read that Fort Clinch has them, but I don't remember seeing any the several times we were in the park. (I DO remember the ones in the Okefenokee!)

Keeping everyone in my prayers as they clean up from the hurricane mess. Please stay safe as you begin cleaning up in Florida. Those in Texas my heart goes out to all of you that's lost their homes, has damage to your homes or lost their flocks.

I will update as I find out. I do know there are alligators in that area and someone caught one in the ocean at Amelia Island last year. I read that Fort Clinch has them, but I don't remember seeing any the several times we were in the park. (I DO remember the ones in the Okefenokee!)

All of South Louisiana is infested with gators, even the cities. They wont remove them from New Orleans proper until they are at least 5' long. LOL

Update: Snake girl got her brother out when she called for backup. A friend came with his hummer and picked up the brother. Waist high (and better) water!

I knew she was resourceful!

The girl had sent a video of the rescue to my daughter. She couldn't get it to load, so took screen shots of the water to show me. It's somewhere between Callahan and Fernandina, near Yulee. Of course, almost every place down there is flat.
